Dear Clinton County Showcase and Community Theater enthusiasts,

  I would like to personally invite all of you to come and see the renovations we have been doing at the Avon Theater in Downtown Breese.  As they say “you won’t recognize the place!”  The building renovation and decorating committee’s have been working very hard to make sure that your theater experience at The Avon is a great one from the time you walk in the door to the time you leave the theater.

 Some of the improvements include:

For the audience;

·               Better lighting to see programs before the show and during intermissions

·               Better looking walls

·               Improved rake (slant) of the floor so you are sitting a little higher than the person in front of you

·               Smoother floor surface and wider isles

·               Handicapped side entrance ramp & Handicapped seating area for specialty needs

·               Improved air quality and a larger feel to the building

For the participants;

·               Improved lighting system

·               Wider and sturdier stage

·               Improved tech booth area

If you come before the show starts we will be glad to give you a tour of the changes.  And give you a hint of what is to come.

 A special thank you goes out to everyone who contributed monetarily in any way to the renovation of the theater.  Weather it was buying a 50/50 ticket, becoming a friend of the Avon, Golfing in the golf tournament, or donating and /or coming to the dinner auction, every penny that has been needed and gratefully accepted.

 But wait …….. it ain’t over yet. 

 We still have a few things to do in these first two phases and phase three is still down the road.

 Continue to look for improvements to the theater and to our productions as we continue to invest in the Avon and this thing we call Community Theater.
