The Marvelous wonderettes is a musical comedy with a book by roger Bean. the show uses pop songs from the 50s and 60s to tell its story and pays homage to the high school Songleader squads of the 1950s. in act i, the Springfield high Songleaders, Betty Jean, cindy Lou, Missy & Suzy, are called upon to perform their senior prom as a last minute replacement. they rally together to entertain their classmates in four- part harmony. act ii takes place at their 10 year class reunion, where the girls are once again the evening’s entertainement. the wonderettes will entertain you with such classics as “Lollipop”, “dream Lover”, “Stupid cupid”, “Lipstick on Your collar”, “hold Me, thrill Me, Kiss Me”, “it’s My Party”, “it’s in his Kiss” and many more!
